Toni, you will love paper-piecing. I started doing it because i was having trouble quilting anything but squares. It is so easy, and makes your quilts come out very accurate in size. I make up a pattern on graff paper, then go and get photo copies. I have no problem tearing the paper off. I finger press as i'm going along, and when the square is completed, i iron it, but, i iron it with no steam, steam will make the ink run, but with no steam there is no problem.
