I have used left over wool roving on top then stuffed the rest with crushed walnut shells. So where the pins go is tight packed wool, and the bottom is weighted down with crushed shells. If you have a harbor freight near by, they sell crushed walnut shells by the box full near the sand blasting cabinets/ medium.
