The smallest bag I could buy was 5 pounds, which is waaayyy more than I needed, so if you can go together with others to split the bag, that would be good. It's finely crushed walnut shells. It's heavy enough to weight the pin cushion so it doesn't slide around. However, I myself mainly use magnetic ones.
