I love Miss rosie patterns !! that on is perfectly masculine, and in flannel, lovely. Sorry I can't see your picture. The fabric looks very masculine - think hunting cottage. I would do some echoing of the patterns, like a repeat of the little design thing, or just all over plaid - cross lines at different widths to echo the plaids, and line it up with the pattern blank spaces so it makes the overall pattern look plaidish.
