Nice looking machines there, Rodney. When you said “first” in the other thread, I didn’t catch that it may be the first you were showing us, or that it may be the first of many.
The first machine that I ever got (other than my wife’s machines) is a Singer 66-1 back-clamper that I cleaned up and attached a hand crank to it for a portable. I still have it, but I don’t use it much since adding a whole bunch more machines to my herd. I still like handcranks because of it though. I have 10 of them, counting my two boot patchers that also have a treadle to operate them, and I’m hoping to set up my Adler 205-64 as a hand crank. I spend a lot of time sewing on my powered industrials by hand wheeling them too, due to the nature of my use for them to do mending and repairs.
