One of the best books I have is "Mastering Precision Piecing" by Nancy Collins. Great book, especially if like me, you like working with small pieces. I was a self-taught quilter and she un-taught of lot of bad habits I taught myself!!
Other than that, most of the books I concentrate on are about techniques, not patterns.
