I'm a slow learner--I've been through three Shark irons in the past year and all three began sputtering and spitting and messing up clothes. I iron a LOT and they sputter and spit for the duration of a 2-hour ironing session. I just tossed the third one and replaced it with a Hamilton Beach. So far, so good!!!
