For me, I recently asked for plastic shoeboxes, some divided plastic containers or a new multiple drawer system since I'm starting to sort scraps down to nice usable piece like Bonnie Hunter uses. If I can have one with some deeper drawers to put the scrap pile into I can keep them out of sight but more importantly keep the cats out of them. The thinner drawers could be used to hold the "cuts" while the wait for me to get to them.
To me that would be a great gift.
