If I remember right, it DID come with the shorter bobbins. However, it was it the shuttle cases from 2 different machines, purchased from different sellers, at 2 different times. Pretty sure what I was seeing was compacted lint. I've since gone in there with toothpicks and q-tips to get residual gunk out of the bobbin cases.
