Back in the late 60's & early 70's I worked at E J Shoe Factory. I did top stitching with double needle, sewing the tops of men's loafer shoes. E J Shoes were a very popular shoe back then. The machines were rugged and it was all piece work. Every now and then I think back of stitching leather and how different it is than working with fabric.
