The best way to remove FABRI-TAC from most fabrics is by dry cleaning. Sometimes, however, this is not possible. Our loyal customers who have been using and loving Fabri-Tac for years, have suggested the following method. The best advice is to BE PATIENT while doing this process.
How long it will take to effectively remove the glue depends upon how much you are removing.

BEFORE STARTING
1. ALWAYS test first on a small, unseen area of the item to ensure that the acetone will not discolor or adversely affect the fabric.
2. NEVER use a dining room table or any finished surface as a work area as acetone will strip off the finish. Cover your work area with plastic or newspaper.

1. Acetone is a FLAMMABLE solvent and should always be kept away from heat, open flames, lighted cigarettes, and other sources of ignition.
2. Keep acetone out of reach of children.
3. Wear eye protection.
4. Work in a well ventilated area

REMOVING FABRI-TAC
Step 1: Remove of much of the dried Fabri-Tac as you can by using your fingernail, a spoon or butter knife.
Step 2: Wet a small portion of the rag with acetone. Slowly rub the wet rag directly onto the adhesive to be removed. Wet & turn the rag often to keep it from drying out.
Step 3: The wet rag will soften & liquefy the glue. This will be a slow process. Gently peel off any blobs of glue you see and discard.

•
DO NOT DIP THE GARMENT OR FABRIC INTO THE ACETONE! This will make the glue more difficult to remove and may permanently damage the fabric!
Some individuals may be sensitive to acetone’s smell. If you or anyone near you dislikes the smell, immediately discontinue the removal process

Be very careful with Acetone. It is a very strong solvent, which will dissolve plastic and can be purchased in large cans in a hardware store. Be sure to pretest it and I suggest using a Q-tip or something small enough to only touch the glue. IMHO.
