Congratulations!
I made my DGS (7 months old) 2 'real' quilts, and one 'quilt' made from PUL monsters fabric and a piece of blue fleece for backing. It is supposed to be used for changing him on when the family is out and/or to protect him from the weather.
It took me all of 1/2 hour to make.
Guess which one he LOVES? He stares at all the little monsters and tries to pick them up. It seems to relax him, and he falls asleep. Guess which one Mom and Dad love? (LOL
