Default Black, White, Gray and Gold - finally finished

This has been a really long project. I usually make much smaller quilts. I started cutting in early summer after collecting fabric for a really long time. Having made my share of cutting errors, I decided to incorporate all the 1/2" too short pieces into the back. Which meant I had to cut more pieces. And then a few more pieces. I had a large palette to work with - which came in very handy for this monster.
It measures 104 x 105. I decided not long into it that I would send it out to be quilted - and then couldn't do it. It is for my daughter and I had to put in the time hand quilting- as I do most all of my projects. I was inspired by a link on the board: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t210021.html Had to include my signature block of flying geese so they are sprinkled throughout. I can't begin to describe how happy I feel to have completed it!
