I have thought that too - but then in the trade off for a new quilter like me trying to build stash and have something to draw from when I later see a pattern on the internet - - for me it has been great to buy some fat quarters because I am not sure until later what the fabric may look good in - and sometimes I wish I had bought more and sometimes I am glad that was all I bought of that one!! :-)
