Wrap-N-Zap vs. Quilter's Dream for Microwave bowls ???
Today I bought some Pellon Wrap-N-Zap 100% cotton batting which is made specifically for use in the microwave. I intend to make some of those microwave bowls. I have already made some with Quilter's Dream 100% cotton batting because it has no glues or scrim, but I thought maybe the Pellon product was better suited an safer for use in the microwave. But now that I have it, I see the package says: "100% natural cotton batting", "Microwave safe", "Do Not Leave Microwave Unattended While in Use", and "Wrap-N-Zap is not fire proof or flame retardant"!! Now I'm thinking it's just an unnecessary expense and no better than the Quilter's Dream batting I already had. Does anyone know for sure?
