Up front, I do not know for sure...........however.......with that said one of my LQS owner sells the 'tater batting' from Warm n Natural, she suggested using what I already have, 100% cotton to give it a try. If the 100% cotton doesn't have any other stuff in it I don't see why it won't work. Do a sample and test for yourself, then share the results with the rest of us, jmho.
