If you want to replace rusty, pitted plates with nicer ones, let me know. I'm never going to use them. Maybe I should just drop the entire machine off next time I'm driving through, and you can decide what you want to use (and they YOU get to deal with what is left LOL!!) I'm sure I've got lots of extra Singer shuttles too.
I may take you up on that because I started on the bobbin plate and it it very pitted. Everything metal except the hand wheel is rusted BUT the shuttle bar does move when the hand wheel is turned, so there is hope. I didn't think it would move at all.
