I use Elmers glue also....not the stick, but the type in the bottle that is white. I find it works great, washes right out. I just had my machine cleaned last week and I asked Bob if there was a lot of "gunk" in there. He said no just flannel fuzz....so I told him I use Elmers glue to hold quilts together instead of pins etc. and he said it didnt seem to be a problem with gumming up; so that made me extra happy
