I like the June Taylor Basting Spray. I can get it at JoAnn's. Very little odor and sticks well but releases easily for moving.
There is also a tutorial some where about using Elmers School glue that you dilute and make a spray out of to use for basting. I haven't tried it yet (lost the thread and haven't searched). I think it would be much better environmentally if you wanted to search for the instructions.
