The 'old fashioned teacakes' I remember from my youth (long, ago in a far away land), were more like biscuits--and cut with a biscuit cutter---hence the name tea "cakes", I always tho't. My great aunt made them and the neighborhood kids would munch for the longest time. I would love to know how she did them. I found an old recipe of my MIL's recently and I'm going to give it a try, but waiting for the world to slow down a bit. So much going on right now.
