Very pretty! I think I would cut 1 inch black sashing to go between the squares. I find a narrow sash that ends up being 1/2 inch wide, gives the intricate blocks a place for all their seam allowances to go into the sashing. The small sashing also end up feeling the same weight as the fancy squares because of the seam allowances meeting under the sashing. Black narrow sashing would make your fancy blocks look like stain glass windows. Of course that is just my opinion and you may have a different idea to finish them.
