I made 4 of them, all different fabrics...I did cover both ends before starting, it did help. I have made many of the ball ornaments and I liked the way the ends were done, so it kinda gave me the idea to cover the ends of the pinecone. I enjoy sitting and watching tv in the evening and working on these..
