Nellie: The most important thing is that your angle be straight with the green. This is so the 45 degree is accurate. I started lining up with the top or bottom but there was a resource mentioned that used the green to line up. I think this is far more accurate, and I started using it. Speaking as someone who has minor dyslexia I really know how that weird disorientation happens. Do you have a 24 X 6 ruler or at least a very large one? Line the 45 degree line up with either the top or bottom of the green across the length of the strip. Your ruler should be tilted to the right or left, now just cut your first cut. The first one is to cut the end so it shows the 45 degrees. Then making sure the line stays on the top of the green measure your two inches and cut. That gives you your first wedge.
