Jenny Doan from MSQC showed an easy way to do flying geese using HST, I bet that it could be incorporated here. The seam right at the center might be a little bulky that way though, so get your hammer out.

Otherwise, draw it on graph paper, and then when you feel like the dimensions are right, use your graph paper to paper piece it. Another block that might help you somewhat with this one is the Navajo block. http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltpa...ck-Pattern.htm
I'm currently making 27 of them for a quilt for DH, for Christmas. I have one completed. Uh. I better get off the computer.
