Default Shazam! quilt top finished-

this quilt pattern--SHAZAM! by Linda Everhart is one I have had for a number of years- the pattern is for a wall hanging. I decided since it is time for my youngest granddaughter to become a teenager (middle of January) that she needed a new quilt- so, I decided to finally make this one- OH< BOY!!! as I started I kept thinking....what have I jumped into....this is a lot of work! each and every piece of this quilt was painstakingly cut out with an exacto knife- by the time I finished the first 2 panels (the colored one and the silhouette I was 'on a roll' then I decided it would be cool to flip everything over & 'mirror image' them to put it all together,...well, as you can see....I didn't exactly think that through....imagine my surprise when I laid the 4 pieces down and realized I needed to *upside down & backwards* the pattern to do what I wanted....now what? well, I decided to work with what I had....I did not have enough of the deep purple background (yes, it's purple not black) to start another set...and besides- I still do not have my head around how to go about that...so, I worked with what I had left & put it together. now I just need to quilt it- I think this one is going to be fun to quilt. . her favorite color is orange- I just know she is going to love it! and I am so glad I finally used that pattern I've pulled out & looked at hundreds of times over the years.
