thanks all of you for the great ideas and for showing your fabulous quilts. I went to look at my strips and am feeling more confident about doing something with them. I did chicken out, don't want to get involved with something and change my mind, so I made fabric out of strings 1/4" to 2" in width. will make star blocks to my other star blocks for a scrappy quilt. maybe will be a donation quilt till I get the hang of this scrappy thing. thanks again
