ha-ha...that's kind of what I did.
bought the pattern years ago & every few months....looked at it, ooohh'd & aaah'd thought about it, put it away again...then *in a moment of ....craziness.... I decided it was time to make it... was reconsidering almost as soon as I started it...but stuck with it.
