Default Here's my DUH moment.

One thing that always sounded dumb to me was when someone would write "sew one thread over" when talking about scant sewing. Last night my wife and I were watching "Love of Quilting" when they talked about that briefly. "Oh!" I said out loud, startling my wife. "So THAT'S what they mean by one thread over."

I always thought it meant to move over one thread of the fabric. The way Marianne explained it, I now understand that they mean to move over one width of the thread that I'm sewing with.

How good would your eyes have to be to sew one fabric thread over?
