Love your art quilt. You might replace the beads with rounded "pearl" buttons for fun. Would you really have to pre-wash the rick rack?...I remember my mom using it on dresses, dish towels, etc. and never pre-washing. I'd be more worried about the dye in some of the other fibers. May you could substitute cotton yarns and ribbons. Regardless, it is gorgeous!
