[QUOTE=tropit;6467352]A few days ago there was a thread in the forum that mentioned using saliva to remove a blood stain. Now, it's got me thinking on how often I use spit when I'm quilting. I Know...GROSS! But I use it when I'm threading a needle, finger pressing a binding, smoothing my thread when hand sewing, etc. I have to say, spit comes in pretty handy sometimes. What do you use spit for?

Washing the quilt after finishing it should take care of germs. I just was reminded about the "quilters knot" - try doing it that way as there's no spit involved.
