made a package of pretzels, 1/4 cup melted butter, one package ranch mix and 1/2 tsp cayenne powder. .. mix dry first together then dump pretzels in large baggie coat with butter sprinkle on dry ingredients, shake to coat sorta roll them around.. put on baking sheet (I cover mine with parchment no mess later) sprinkle parmesean cheese shredded on top lightly bake 300 degrees 1o minuts stir, bake 10 minutes longer 20 minutes total. spicy salty pretzels. everyone loves them. last about a week if you hide them lol.
spiced nuts: 1 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar.. bring to boil one minutes. toss in your favorite mix of -plain nuts to coat, about 3 cups.. quickly remove from syrup place on lined cookie sheet recommend wax or parchment as it will stick. sprinkle with old bay seasoning and extra cayenne if you like .. lightly bake 250 for 10 minutes. cool and enjoy. you can add a bit of extra spice when you remove them hot from the oven if you like.. also salt your nuts after coating them in sugar mixture.. old bay has quiet a bit but you can add more if you like salty stuff.
