Looking for recipe for "log rolls" with crushed nut filling
Many years ago, my sister-in-law (at the time) brought something to our family Christmas dinner. It was sweet like banana bread, but it was rolled up in a log shape, with a sweet crushed nutty filling, and she said it was meant to be spread with butter when you eat it. It was absolutely delicious. I asked her for the recipe, (she said she got it out of a magazine), but somehow, she never got around to giving to me before they divorced. Although we have remained on speaking terms, she can't remember what recipe I am talking about.
I have checked out several internet sites (allrecipes.com; taste of home;and food) but have not seen anything even vaguely similar. The closest I could come is povitica, but that is nor rolled into a log shape. If anyone has a recipe that sounds like this, please PM me.
