I'm going to venture into the fabric store this week to find a medallion center for the quilt Elisabrat is hosting. I'm sure there are enough batiks in my stash to make the border rounds. I'll let you know how successful I am in avoiding any other purchase. I know this is the week the store moves a lot to fabric to the clearance room where $6 a yard is the highest price, but I will be strong!!! I was going to say "try to be", but that sounds like I'm planning a fall. Not!!
Elisabrat, you don't really need to stock up. My understanding is that we are 'allowed' to purchase blenders and backing as NEEDED - it's stash building we are trying to avoid.
paperprincess, when are you posting the 2014 moritorium? Thank you for doing this. It really has helped keep me aware of what I'm doing. I did buy batiks in Dec for my daughter for Christmas - then she didn't care for them, but I can use them in my medallion quilt so they won't really get stashed. Rationization??? Maybe.
