Default Pre-printed Whole Cloth with a Twist

So in October my mom and I went to keepsake was a nice little visit. Mom bought me one of the pre-printed whole cloth quilts, I wanted something lightweight for my bed in the summer. Since the christmas break is MY time, I promptly loaded this quilt for me I wanted to do something "out of the box" with respect to whole cloths, so I opted to do it in different colors. Got the border done on the top rolled to get started on the grid work in the center and realized I would have to cut threads a gazillion times

I only have 2 wks not enough time to cut, plus I am too lazy! I had 2 options left, to quilt in all one color or to echo the designs and do my gridwork backtracking on those lines so that I could use different colors for different parts. After sleeping on it I decided to do just one color for the whole quilt. The prices on these kits are truly great and that will allow me to make a winter one with wool batting and different colors, I'll echo the designs on that one.

Off I went to quilt the grid work, and realized "hmm, this is very simple design, I am just learning to do fancy fills, why not fill in the designs?" So here are two photos, the first is the unstitched corner, so that you can see what it is supposed to be (am using a variegated blue thread) and what I did with the corner I have stitched....dont pay too much attention to the light blue lines they are gonna wash out and you wont see how not so great I am at keeping on the lines
