Sorry if I repeat myself, but the story fits. 45 yrs ago, I started sewing for our oldest daughter and started to save two 5" squares of each item I made; that size only because that's the largest size piece I could salvage. Little did I know that all these years later, they would be called charm squares or used for Nickel quilts!!!! Because of my recently diagnosed macular degeneration , along with retinitis pitgmentosa, am hoping that THIS year I can finally put the quilt together. She loves teddy bears so I purchased a tone-on-tone teddy bear print for the background hoping that all the different range of colors and prints will work together. Was going to make one of the quilts from the Nickel quilt books, but recently saw MSQC Falling Charms so am not sure which I will use. There are cottons, corduroys, satin organzas and wool. Wish me good luck.
