Like a lot of folks, i use a 1/4 inch seam guide (stacked painters tape for me)....so my pins go in from left to right - otherwise they bump into the seam guide. Works for me....BUT if i'm working on something and not using the seam guide, i do sometimes pin from right to left. How's that for a "definite maybe"????
