Now she is old enough to start her own quilt! My 4 year old is hand piecing a 4patch doll quilt. I cut the pieces and mark the lines on both side of the fabric for her but she does the actually sewing. I do have to start the squares for her because when hand piecing, you stitch a couple stitches then back stitch and she kept pulling the thread all the way through. She has gotten really good at using small stitches. Great fine motor activity and practice being patient and following thru. :lol:
