I never thought to fold the binding a second time to sew in place. I only fold it once and press so the raw edges are even. The last quilt I made I made the binding double the width, folded twice to the raw edge. I've noticed some bindings getting worn thin on some of the utility quilts I've made. It think this will have the binding last much longer.
