I make t-shirt quilts as a small side business. I modified the Too Cool T-shirt method by adding blocks of fabric in between. You can purchase the too cool book at
http://www.toocooltshirtquilts.com/ (I have no affiliation with Too Cool). They don't add backing to their t-shirts but I do. I use 906-F. I FMQ the entire top but I don't stitch over the logo itself. Using their random block method it is easier to incorporate odd sized logos into the quilt. Pic of my work attached. Good luck to you!
