Are you talking about rounding the corners? I often do that. I just get a mug and draw a disappearing line around each corner by lining the edge of the mug up with the two sides of the corner. It rounds them nicely and then I cut the line I have just drawn. No need to do mitered corners on these. Sure makes it quicker to put the binding on. Hope I understood you correctly.
