I was amazed at how much grim can accumulate and how much original is under there. However, the decals have taken a beating. I will re-decal when time comes. Did you paint, polish, stove-black or what to get such a nice clean, black machine?

That is the original japan finish-lot's of gentle elbow grease using mineral spirits and some DNA. I decided not to re-decal the old girl. I dissembled the stand, sandblasted and top coated it with Krylon DTM(direct-to-metal)semi-gloss spray paint. I like the way the base turned out.
