I have a half dozen machines with the crinkle paint. Singers, Kenmores and a White. Trust me when I say you don't have to rub on them. They are not at all hard to clean. I use cotton balls, a tooth brush and sewing machine oil and they come out just great.

I didn't vote for either machine cos I have no interest in either. Nope, not even the 301. Not a fan of it at all. But, having said that I think you got a smokin deal. Hope you do us a test report when you get it.
