The machine is not a good fmqing machine, IMO. You can use the darning foot that comes with the machine, but the feed dogs don't lower and there's no foot pressure adjustment either. You can also buy a feed dog cover that pops on, but I really, really don't like it. It threatens to come off(or at least I'm worried it will) and sometimes clatters and makes noise.

It's a great machine for piecing, but the throat space is very small for fmqing. Have I given you enough reasons to use another machine for FMQing? LOL.

Instead of buying a special foot, I'd buy another vintage machine to FMQ on that will cost you probably about the same as the foot:>
