The backing is red flannel, I peiced the rest of the quilt with grey so wasnt sure if I should use that same color or not. I would not make it through this without you! A great way to help you decide what color thread to use is to unwind a couple feet of it off the cone and lay it on your quilt in a heap. Do you like the color or does it overwhelm the quilt? Oddly enough, this really helps to eliminate those threads that are either too light, too dark, or simply clash with the quilt.
