I cut my binding 2-1/2", fold it in half, iron it and tie it with a ribbon until I need it. I think 2" is going to be darn tight on the edges, because you need enough to cover the stitches on the back side where you sewed it on the top side. Got that one? That is a double bind though. I have never done a single binding. Good luck whatever you do. Edie
