Default Bags, bags, bags

I can't seem to resist bag patterns! Little, big, insulated, or not...I love making bags!

The bag photos below with the embroidery are Sew4Home patterns from last summer. The 'blue' bag is especially nice - the faux leather is soft and it is insulated with some fleece. Six pockets in all! A real 'weekender'.

The bags with the dogs are made using a free Lazy Girl pattern that I up scale a bit with boxed corners and appliqué the silhouette of the breed of a dog. I like the feel of the ticking fabric - plenty sturdy without being too stiff.

Our friends have a Chihuahua...and my husband wanted a bag for his trips to the gym. We have a grey Shih Tzu-Poodle, but I didn't have any grey faux suede.

The bag with the black dog (funky looking) is made by piecing together some black twill fabric and pretty green (not that you can tell from the photo) faux leather fabric. Leave it to me to make an easy pattern into something difficult. Extra sturdy - six inch boxed corners make this roomy enough for all my AARP Tax Aide books for this season!

The black and white bag is another Sew4Home pattern. It is really big...and with the zipper it is more like an overnight bag. The pattern called for one interior pocket...I don't get why people do that. If you are going to put one in, why not one on both sides of the bag? I love pockets!

Thanks for looking!
