JeanieG here is a pic of the fabric before cutting, it has a lot of gold in it. I was really disappointed that we didn't get a lot of variation with the blocks but DD loves it.
I have Bethany Reynolds first 2 stack and whack kaleidoscope books but for this one we chose to use a specialty ruler I had.
I made DH a kaleidoscope quilt for his 50th and the main fabric was motorcycles, it turned out great, might try and find a pic of it for you. It went to quilt heaven last month it had literally fallen apart and the last time I washed it there was more wadding left in the washing machine that there was in the quilt.
Westalee is an Australian company making rulers for every conceivable patchwork shape, very expensive though. And really you don't need that many rulers..
