I did look at the belts but have NO idea what a cotton belt looks like, it does have the 2 cleated belts that look black, what I could tell from looking at them they look like they are new..not worn anywhere that I could tell.
Jassmyn, those are the cotton belts. When they are new they are a light beige/natural color but they pick up the black from the machine. If it's sewing fine, they're okay. When the motor belt is about to fail, it will slip or sometimes slide off as it stretches and can be tightened but then eventually breaks. They will sew for many years before wearing out.
Checking for extra belts at your local repair place is a good idea. Get whatever ones they have for future need.
