Thats just what I was going to say..(Great minds think alike :-D ) I have always loved that cabinet style and the machine is wonderful!

What is the serial number on the machine and I can help you date it. I am thinking somewhere in the mid to late 20's but I wont know for sure until I see the number.

Looks like the old hammered finish. Not rough, but knubby(sp).
The White catalog list it as a "Crinkle Finish" and they're the first manufacturer to use that finish on a machine.
