I've always been delighted to see the robins arrive in March. My sister's birthday is March 12th and most years that is the day I see them for the first time. That said, I read a few years ago that robins are actually around year round, but the ones you see in January are not the ones you see in June. Evidently they migrate south but only to a point. And I do see them, not flocks like in March, but individuals pretty much any time of the year.
